A karaoke system that plays songs from the early 2010s, and displays a collage of recordings of people whom previously performed the song with the system.

For this project, I was in charge of branding for the karaoke system and also for the UI interface which the users will view when selecting their song of choice.

Project Overview

Embodying nostalgia and dynamism

I took inspiration from early 2000s aesthetics, looking at a range of Y2k aesthetics, use of colorful bizarre gradients, and retro inspired design elements. The bold, bright, and playful logo was emphasized through the vibrant and gradient colors. Shapes such as a stars and wave shaped typography were chosen to convey a sense of playfulness and youthfulness.

UI Design

The UI was displayed on a monitor in a room. Aligned with the branding I created, the interface displays the different song choices with corresponding numbers (linked to the physical buttons in front of the monitor).
